Reminders

  • Thanks to students, staff and parents for a great start to the school year! We appreciate your support especially with getting your child here on time each morning.
  • We are in need of parent volunteers to help in kindergarten and first grade classrooms, especially in kindergarten. We are also in need of parent volunteers to help with drop off and pick up so that we can keep our associate teachers in the classrooms with kids. If you are interested in one or both of these outstanding opportunities, please contact Ms. Durham at the K-5 building or Ms. Waugh at the 6-8 building!
  • The Beginning of Grade Test for third graders will be this Thursday morning.
  • This Friday will be our first Bottom Dollar Day of the school year. Your child may pay one dollar and wear the bottoms of their choice!
  • The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Board of Directors will take place Tuesday evening, 6:30 in the K-5 building. Please plan to attend.
  • The annual Dan Nicholas Park trip for all middle school students is this Friday. Students will leave the 6-8 school building after Community Time and will return in time for dismissal. We are in need of chaperones if you are interested. Please contact Ms. Waugh.
  • The 4th annual 3b Festival is coming up in about five weeks. Students will be bringing home tickets soon for you to buy and to sell. Since this is the only fund-raising evening of the first quarter, we expect all families to sell lots of tickets!
  • The First Tee of Statesville Fall Season begins tomorrow. Students are encouraged to stay at school after school and all ride together on the bus to Statesville Country Club. Class is from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. We would like to be able to bring all students back to the school on the bus and have them picked up at the school no later than 6:15. We also have room for volunteer coaches if you are interested. We look forward to great fun with the kids and coaches!
