RAP (Renaissance Association of Parents) Corner:

1. We still have lots of discount cards available to sell. If you need more cards please email [email protected]. The next turn-in will be this Friday September 30th. Please send in the money for any cards you have sold.

2. The current uniform ordering period will close on September 28th at 6:00 pm. We expect to have items ready the week of October 17th. Now is a good time to order long sleeve items and hoodies.

3. Last call for sign ups for ice cream Friday's. Ice cream will start this Friday for those that have paid. If you would like your child to participate please pay for ice cream on the uniform website.

We are providing snacks to several kids daily along with weekend bags. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Reminders:

✔️ We are collecting Halloween candy and treats to pass out for downtown trick or treat! Please turn in donations to the front office of your child's school!

✔️ Please do not send pop/soda, energy drinks, or anything in a can to school with your student for breakfast or lunch.

✔️ Rainbow Kidz: permission slips went home on this week. Please return your participants permission slip to your homeroom teacher so that Mrs. McMiller can give it to the counselors.

Welcome to Mrs. Joni Johnson, our new Art teacher for grades 5-8.

Joni Johnson is a former fourth grade ELA and Social Studies teacher where she taught for four years in Alexander County. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. She also received an Associates Degree in Interior Design from Central Piedmont Community College. She worked five years with local furniture manufacturers in Hickory as a visual merchandiser where she bought textiles for their furniture lines, worked with new product introductions and merchandised their showrooms in High Point for the furniture market. Joni also creates ceramics for the home and shoots professional photography.
