Transportation Services

We will continue transportation services for the 2022/2023 school year.
  • We will use two satellite stops, Statesville YMCA and The Boys and Girls Club, this school year for transportation services.
  • Buses are limited to 23 students and one bus monitor.
  • Sign ups are first come, first serve and will close on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 5pm.

We want to provide this service for all students but especially those that are in need of a ride to and from school every day.

Parents are asked to submit the Attendance Notification Form if your child(ren) will be absent from school due to illness or injury. Parents will be responsible for submitting a doctor's notes upon return to your child's building level receptionist.

American Renaissance School (ARS) offers multiple online programs to help you keep track of your student's grades, attendance, assignments, dismissal, activities, payments, and communications. Please see the directions below to register for each application. 

PowerSchool

ARS uses PowerSchool to track student grades and attendance. To register for PowerSchool, visit https://americanrenaissance.powerschool.com/public/. Click the Create Account tab, then click Create Account. Student information will be provided by the school to complete registration.


Canvas

ARS uses Canvas in grades 3-8 for student assignments and other class information. To register for Canvas, visit https://www.americanrenaissance.education/canvas/, then click on the green "Parent of a Student" button. Then, at the top right of the red box, click "Click Here for an Account." After you've registered an account, you will be required to enter your student's pairing code. Please see your student for a pairing code; they must provide this to you.


Bloomz

ARS uses to Bloomz to communicate directly with your child's Homeroom teacher for questions or concerns. Your child's homeroom teacher will contact you with instructions for how to download the free app and the class code to get connected.


PikMyKid

ARS uses PikMyKid to run the dismissal process. To register for PikMyKid, download the PikMyKid parent app from the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone. Your student will be automatically linked to you based on the parent cell phone number provided during registration. If you do not see your student, please contact the school to ensure we have the correct cell phone number on file. Parents can Announce their arrival in the dismissal line when they are within 500 yards of the school. Parents will set up a standard pick up mode at the beginning of the school year. If the pick up mode must be changed for a day, parents can log into their account and change the mode or delegate their child to another person using the calendar in the app. Changes that will be more long term should be changed by calling the school office. When picking up a child, parents will be required to show car tag or cell phone tag for the child to be released. Any person without a tag will be directed to the school office. No child will be released without a parent’s permission.


MyPaymentsPlus

ARS uses MyPaymentsPlus for all payments to the school, including lunch, field trips, technology fees, and other activities. To register for MyPaymentsPlus, visit http://www.mypaymentsplus.com and click the orange Register button. Select the state, then American Renaissance School, then enter your information. Student information will be provided by the school.


SchoolMessenger

ARS uses SchoolMessenger to send notifications via phone, email, and SMS text message. Parents can manage their notification preferences and view previously sent messages by registering for SchoolMessenger. To register, go to http://go.schoolmessenger.com and click Sign Up at the top right. You must use one of the email addresses we have on file for your student. You can also click Contact Manager from PowerSchool to access this system.


Student Pictures

ARS uses Blair Phillips Photography for all school photography needs. They offer Fall, Spring, and Elementary Class photos along with an array of collectable gifts for purchase. These photo opportunities are considered a fund raiser for the school.

For Fall Photos and Elementary Class photos, students have a required dress code of RED POLO and school uniform pants. These photo opportunities are PRE-PAY, not proof photos. Any purchased Fall Picture packages are sent home within 3 weeks of picture day. Any student who misses Fall Picture Day or who needs to have a retake done, will have an additional day to take this photo. For a student to have a retake, they must return the purchased package at the time of getting their photo taken.

Spring Picture Day is a free dress day. Please see the Uniform Policy for acceptable clothing for their photo day. There is not a makeup day for this picture. Students will receive a link to their child’s photo before purchase. Please see the school calendar for dates.

Breakfast and Lunch Program

Effective with the 2022/23 School Year - ARS follows the National School Lunch Program which provides students the option to purchase breakfast and lunch or bring their lunch from home.

Menus for breakfast and lunch available for purchase are offered on a monthly basis for a minimum of 7-10 days.  The price for breakfast is $3.75 and lunch is $5.  Parents will be notified when menus are posted.  Parents may purchase meals by logging into their MyPaymentPlus account.

ARS does not have a cafeteria, and we must preorder our meals from Iredell-Statesville Schools.

Healthy snacks should be sent from home for your student.  They will not be provided by ARS.

Children who require an alternate menu (gluten free, peanut free, dairy free, etc.) or drink option other than milk must fill out a special diet form to keep on file with ARS and ISS. Please notify Tina Farewell if you would like to set up an alternate menu.

For class parties, we encourage parents to think of healthier items.  Anyone bringing in class party items will need to wait until 2:00 to do so.
