"I grew up in downtown Statesville and would walk to class with my two younger siblings every morning. At ARS I started to explore my interest in science mostly through participation in Odyssey of the Mind which showed me that I can apply creativity to scientific problems. Now I work for the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, where we search for new physics by colliding high-energy protons. I hope to finish my PhD in 2028." - Elliott Kauffman
