Mrs. Melissa Statema, Kindergarten & First Grade Theatre & Movement Teacher

Last Updated 4/17/2023Posted in Staff & Faculty

Mrs. Melissa Statema is a Kindergarten & First Grade Theatre & Movement Teacher here at American Renaissance School.

This is Melissa's 2nd year at ARS. She has been involved in the performance arts for over 35 years, and has taught dance, acting, theatre/musical theatre off and on for the last 25 years, however teaching these little ones here at ARS is one of her greatest joys.

When she's not teaching, she loves helping people organize their homes, and spending time with her family...she loves being outside, exploring new cities, hiking, kayaking, game nights, being in the mountains/at the beach, and eating yummy food!
