AIG Students Learn Personal Budgeting

AIG students here at American Renaissance School recently completed a unit on personal budgeting.

Each student randomly received a first year salary from a variety of careers and had to develop a monthly budget including:

• Searching for a place to live

• Car and insurance fees

• Other monthly bills

• Savings

• Entertainment.

As a finale to the project, students brought their own money and were in charge of their individual bill and tipping at a restaurant of their choice.
