Welcome to Science with Mr. Oakes     

It only took about 250 years for the invention of the microscope to go from looking at a few small previously invisible items to todays microsurgical procedures.  What will our children do with new 3-d x-ray technologies, genetic engineering capabilities, or nanotechnology?  The possibilities are extraordinary and endless.  
   
One thing is certain, though, a strong foundation in science will be beneficial in the creation of these new ideas.

At American Renaissance School students actively participate in lab experiments, hands-on activities, and cooperative learning group assignments to learn and live Science.

Future Destinations: The curriculum is guided by the North Carolina Science Standards and co-piloted by creativity and questions. Below are the main topics:
