First Grade – 2011-2012

1 package of #2 lead pencils

1 box Crayola Crayons (please no sparkled ones)

1 box Crayola Markers – lg. sz. (please no scent or florescent)

2 to 3 containers of Playdoh

2 boxes of tissues

2 bottles – waterless hand sanitizer

1 package of Mr. Clean Erasers

2 packages of 8-1/2 x 11 photocopy paper

1 red plastic – 2 pocket folder (don’t buy new one if  Kindergarten one is in good condition)

1 box Bandaids for school nurse

1 Crayola Watercolor Paint Set & 2 glue sticks for art

***Do not label any of these items; however, put these items in a box and put your child’s name on the box. You may bring them at Open House or the first week of school.

• 1 - Staples® Translucent Pencil Box, any color, item # 825885 (Please do not write your child’s name on their pencil box. I will have a label printed for them.)
• 1- Clear-view zipper pencil pouch
• 1- three-ring binder (Clear-view, 1”, any color) *This binder will be used for their journal.*

 

EACH STUDENT SHOULD BRING:

 

• 4 glue sticks
  
• Fiskar safety scissors
• Dry-erase markers (pack of 2, BLACK only)
• 1 pink pearl eraser
• 1 pack of white computer paper
• 1 pack of twistable colored pencils (pack of 18 or more)
• *The colored pencils work much better than the crayons for completing assignments in first grade. A pack of 18 or more should last the entire school year.

BOYS ONLY:

 

• 1 pack of cardstock (any color)
• 1 pack of highlighters (any color or size)

 

GIRLS ONLY:

 

• 1 pack of colored printer paper (any color)
• 1 pack of washable markers (any color or size)

A pack of FAT pencils (The fat pencils will last all year long. A pack usually consist of 2-4 pencils.)

• Library Card (sent home in report card at the end of Kindergarten)
