American Renaissance School seeks a dynamic and highly principled Executive Director who will embrace the school’s culture of collaboration and cooperation, understand the importance of the “whole child” approach, and cultivate an environment of high expectations and achievement, equipping each student with the skills and values needed for success in high school, college and life in the 21st century.
Founded in 1998, ARS is a charter school of 546 students in grades K-8. Located in two buildings in the heart of downtown Statesville, the school is an integral and active part of the community. ARS capitalizes upon the vibrant setting as an extended classroom for cultural enrichment, experiential education, and service-based learning. Teachers facilitate a nurturing educational environment while incorporating the latest in technology-based learning, literature, and cutting edge, hands-on evidenced based practices.
Upon arrival at ARS, the new Executive Director will find enthusiastic and well-rounded students, dedicated and talented teachers, supportive parents, and a committed board of directors. Working closely with a strong administrative team, this individual will be responsible for all facets of school operations and programs, personnel, facilities, communications, finances, community relations and fundraising.
The Executive Director will partner with all stakeholders in the execution of the vision and mission of American Renaissance School.
The American Renaissance School Board of Directors is searching for candidates with a Master’s Degree in Education, School Administration, Business Administration or a similar degree along with a minimum of 5 years of management or leadership experiences. Experiences with Charter Schools is preferred. ARS seeks a candidate for a position occasionally driving buses for special events and field trips. Ideal candidates will hold a CDL and have experience driving a school bus in a public school environment.
